There is a serial killer at large in Keene, New Hampshire. The killer is targeting individuals whose names and addresses appear on New Hampshire’s Registry of Criminal Offenders and whose residences are pinpointed on the Keene Police Department’s online “CrimeReports” map. This killer has struck twice in the past three months, killing one man and severely maiming another. Jeez, this is where i was heading next. New Hampshire. NOT NOW.
I suppose people just don’t want to see the truth about how dangerous these data bases are and that they serve no useful purpose.
I have always referred to these RSO registries as “hit lists”. Be that from a neighbors kid who feels he can throw eggs at your house, the some thug who wants to find someone to take his frustrations and aggression on for being a loser in life or someone with a delusional god complex like John Walsh who has made a career off of his son’s tragedy, to a full blown psycho serial killer who wants a great place to get his next victim.
Lists such as these should NEVER be public…EVER…as they serve no other purpose than to provide a HIT LIST for hateful mentally ill individuals. Now don’t we all feel so much safer…
The time to act is before someone is killed. Isn’t that what proponents of the registry use as an excuse for listing past offenders?
I think this story should send a message! Its time to remove these databases! IN summary, they not only endanger sex offenders, but they endanger the general public (misidentification), neighbors and family and friends of sex offenders!
If the nightmare of Sandy Hook could not bring about real gun control, I doubt the activity in New Hampshire will bring RSO any relief as far as the public registry goes.
Where is the news coverage? This is being blocked publicly.
People who are on the registry have been being murdered because of community notification since its inception, a nice bit of information about this was published at http://truths-authority-factoids.blogspot.com/2013/01/sex-offender-laws-collateral.html It shows that there is a sharp increase in just murderers. Since Community notification and even more sharper increase after the passage of the AWA. There have been 432 deaths That we know about By the end of the year 2012 without counting suicides and other related deaths.
