No one should be required to report previous child pornography viewing or possession to law enforcement. The article presents some valid points against reporting requirements for instances like those described in the example given. I would add other points for both situations where someone sought counseling on their own and after conviction. However at this time I believe everything raised by the article does provide a substantial foundation for discussion.
This could be the beginnings of a push back on sex offender laws by non-RC stakeholders.
