I really like how all these news outlets claim that all these laws only apply to high risk offenders what a bunch of bs get it right these laws apply across the board to every rso no matter what I guess it makes them sound less draconian
So now they are going to reward vigilantism? That is just incredibly harmful. Now we are so dangerous that there is a cash reward for just skipping probation/parole. Wow, I really don’t believe it.
This is kind of a disturbing article. While expunging my issue 13-14 years back, I sat in the court and observed some of the cases prior. Ie: probation violation/3rd probation violation/re offended while on probation ect. As such, if you truly new the number of people who violate ect while on probation, you would pass out! Gang members, thiefs, drug dealers ect. LA, get a life. I would literally look out to get 10k. Maybe this would result in vigilante acts? Or, create more havoc got the parole trying to do the right thing and drive them underground. Or, maybe create the idea of some person creating a new sex offender website that’s lists the names and addresses of those on parole or probation? Very disturbing. As mentioned before, these laws and proposed legislation will one day throw someone over the edge ie: crime spree/kill someone ect. Wake up California
This is totally ridiculous; I almost can’t believe it. The only thing this law will do if passed is drive registrants even deeper underground and create dangerous and life threatening situations, thus further harming children and families. This is more proof that supposedly responsible people don’t think or much care a whole lot when advancing their careers.
pass an unwritten law to ensnare corrupt politicians and have all the people breathing down their necks. that would be a good thing and will probably help public safety at the same time.
So this change was incited by several RSOs in Antelope Valley who went off radar? Correct me if I’m wrong: isn’t that Sharon Runner’s district??
