Any step toward privatizing the registry is an extremely bad idea.

Except those who were caught in an online sting where there was only someone pretending to be one. But hey, that hardly ever happens in the USA does it?
The pretending to be a victim is a growing occupation in the USA and it pays very well and it is very good for those whom need drug money.
